Kamikochi and Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route: closing and opening dates上高地・立山黒部アルペンルート：閉山日と開山日

Autumn is the last chance this year to visit two of Japan's best-known mountain destinations. Here are the dates to plan around.

Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route

The route runs from 15 April to 30 November 2026. From 4 November a winter timetable applies, so check the official timetable before you travel. The route closes for the winter because of snow at high altitude.

Kamikochi

The season ends with the closing ceremony on 15 November 2026. Most hotels and lodges stop taking guests between 31 October and 14 November, and each has its own last night, so check your hotel before booking a late-season trip. The bus and taxi season ran from 17 April to 15 November 2026.

2027 opening dates

Neither route has announced its 2027 opening yet. The Alpine Route opened on 15 April in 2026, and Kamikochi's bus season began on 17 April. Check the official sites below for the 2027 dates once they are announced.

立山黒部アルペンルート

2026年の営業期間は4月15日から11月30日までです。11月4日からは冬季ダイヤになりますので、出かける前に公式の時刻表をご確認ください。高地の積雪のため、冬の間は運休します。

上高地

2026年シーズンは11月15日の閉山式で終わります。ほとんどのホテルや山荘は10月31日から11月14日までの間に最後の宿泊日を迎え、施設ごとに日付が異なります。遅い時期に訪れる場合は、予約前に宿泊先の最終日をご確認ください。バスとタクシーの2026年の運行期間は4月17日から11月15日まででした。

2027年の開山日

どちらも2027年の開山日はまだ発表されていません。立山黒部アルペンルートは2026年4月15日に営業を始め、上高地のバス・タクシーは4月17日から運行しました。2027年の日程は、発表され次第、下記の公式サイトでご確認ください。
